TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF. My name is Lindsey, and I have been a certified personal trainer since 2009. I opened my own studio November 2012. I started with about 3 clients. I have been very blessed and I have grown beyond my imagination. I've had slow times, and crazy busy times. I have had insecurities, ups and downs, and lots of learning experiences. I have trained clients with Chiari, cerebral palsy, degenerative bone disease, diabetes, broken bones, scoliosis, and many clients released from physical therapy for numerous injuries. I have trained individuals that are very fit, and those that haven't worked out for 20 years. I've trained kids as young as 8, all the way up to 78. I've helped clients work through heartbreaking insecurities, self doubt, and distorted body image. I've also made some clients become more humble through tough workouts I have loved every moment of this wild ride. I have loved the challenges, although it's been tough, because I know it has molded me as a trainer, and a person. When I started, I had a vision. A sweet little studio that is far from intimidating. A relaxing, cheerful atmosphere, yet at the same time, energizing. A private, easy place to be, yet workouts that will push you as far as your capable of going, or a little beyond, because that's how we conquer and grow. I wanted to be a friendly face for all, with patience and persistence. A different kind of trainer that women can relate to. I know after almost 6 years of owning this special place, and 9 years of training, that I still have so much to learn, but I'm so honored to be your trainer. Thanks for trusting me, and coming back, workout after workout. Without you, I would not be my own boss, and I would not get to live the dream that my 15 year old self came up with while working out to "The Firm" VHS in my bedroom (which was a killer workout by the way, circa 1980 something ) I feel confident that there really is no other place like Wonderfully Made Personal Training. God has his hand on this studio, because every time I have worried about being slow, or not having enough clients, I pray about quiting, and God sends clients almost immediately, every time. I know I'm doing what I should. I hope I can be a blessing as you all have been to me! HOBBIES? Cooking, makeup artistry, exercise, running, crafting, and creating new workouts for clientele.
WHEN NOT WORKING, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Hanging out with my sweet husband, my mom, dad, sister or niece and nephews or close friends. Working out, running, Enjoying being at home, shopping, going to church, being outside, going to Poet's, getting nails or hair done, or I could possibly be napping on the couch! You never know!
FAVORITE WORKOUT? I love working my legs! Squats, lunges, jump squats, and wall sits are the best. I also like cardio.
FITNESS PHILOSOPHY? Workout to be healthy, not skinny. Do it for you, not anyone else. You have to want it. You have to put your mind to it, but don't obsess. Eat everything in moderation, workout 30 minutes to 1 hour 3-5 days a week. Enjoy your health and protect it. Enjoy life as much as possible!
